NWDA Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should have passed 12th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board. Skill (Shorthand) Test (on Computer) at the speed of 80 wpm
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC):
Candidates should have passed i) 12th Class passed from a recognized Board,
ii) A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on computer,
iii) Knowledge of Computer operating systems, MS Word, Office, Excel, PowerPoint & Internet.
- Upper Division Clerk (UDC):
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University. Knowledge of Computer operating systems, MS Word, Office, Excel, PowerPoint & Internet.
- Junior Engineer:
Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University or equivalent.
Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English/English with Hindi/any other subject as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
- Junior Accounts Officer
i) Degree in Commerce from a recognized University/Institute.
ii) Three-year experience in Cash and Accounts in a Government Office/PSU/ Autonomous Body/ Statutory Body
iii) Candidates having CA/ICWAI/Company Secretary will be preferred

- For Junior Engineer, Hindi Translator, Junior Accounts Officer and UDC – The selection will be done through an online competitive Computer Based Test (CBT)
- For Stenographer Gr-II and LDC – The selection will be done through a competitive Computer Based online Test and Skill Test (Shorthand/Typing). Typing Test will be conducted in English or Hindi on computer only

The National Water Development Agency (NWDA), a Registered Society under the Ministry of Irrigation (now Ministry of Water Resources) was set up in the year 1982 to carry out detailed studies, surveys, and investigations in respect of Peninsular Component of National Perspective for Water Resources Development.
The Government subsequently modified the functions of NWDA to include the Himalayan Component of National Perspective for Water Resources Development on11thMarch, 1994and composition of the Society and Governing Body on13thFeb. 2003&12thMarch, 2004.
In 2006, it was decided that NWDA will explore the feasibility of linking sub-basins of rivers in States like Bihar. It was decided that NWDA will also take up the work for the preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the Ken-Betwa link, which is one of the priority links under the Peninsular Component of the National Perspective Plan. To enable the national Water Development Agency to undertake the above activities, its functions were modified on 30.11.2006.
The functions of NWDA were further modified vide MoWR resolution dated 19.05.2011 to undertake the work of preparation of DPRs of intra-State links also by NWDA. The functions of NWDA were further modified vide MoWR resolution dated 7th Oct 2016 to undertake the implementation of ILR projects and completion of water resources projects under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) and to act as a repository of borrowed fund or loan from Banks / other institutions for the execution of projects.
